The body of Flight Lieutenant Tahsif Sauri, who recorded the video of Hasina fleeing by helicopter, has been recovered from the Turag River.

The body was recovered on Wednesday (October 28) afternoon. His name is KM Tahsif Sauri (28).

He was a retired flight lieutenant. This information was confirmed by the Dhaka region's Tongi outpost of the naval police on Thursday (October 29) morning.

Police told a wider brief that they received information through the number 999 that a body was floating in the Turag River adjacent to Rajabari Ghat under the Uorkhan police station.

Then the Gazipur officers and forces of the Tongi naval police outpost reached the spot and identified the body. The body was then sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Police said nothing can be confirmed until the autopsy report is received.
